Zephyr Gallery is pleased to present “Near and Far”, an exhibition of new paintings by gallery artists Matt Meers and Lynn Dunbar.
Matt Meers has an eye for detail. His work may look like colorful flowing organic shapes, but when viewed at a distance become reflective images from metallic objects, generally from automobiles. His love of automotive details and reflections is magnified in his imaginative and vivid renderings. The show feature both paintings and photographs.
Lynn Dunbar, reaches new aerial heights with her colorful paintings depicting scenes over Northern Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Chartering flights, she soars, recording various seasons and light, gathering material to create large oil painting interpretations. Her work captures light and ephemeral moments through brush strokes and color recording the ever-changing landscape along the Ohio River. In honor of her son, she donates 25% of sales to childhood cancer charities.
Zephyr Gallery is a contemporary fine arts gallery at 610 East Market Street in Louisville, Kentucky. It is the oldest cooperative gallery in the region with a member base comprised of 23 local artists. Work can be seen during gallery hours, 11-6 Wed.- Sat., and by appointment.
